Mojams was founded by our father. Upon embarking on UK land from Jamaica at the age of 17, he longed for a sense of home and sought to bring traditional, Caribbean flavours to the UK.
In 2019, through sheer determination and perseverance, his dream came to fruition. During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, he opened Mojam Afro Caribbean grocery store which is currently based on 590 Bearwood Road in Smethwick. As a family, we have continued to run Mojams and have been overwhelmed by the support we have received from our customers.
By popular demand, Mojams decided to expand into the online domain in 2024 to enable it to serve a wider customer base. Mojams Online is run by three sisters, Lily, Candace and Jamila. Inspired by our fathers’ deep appreciation for African and Caribbean heritage, we seek to provide customers with quality goods at competitive prices. Our online supermarket specialises in bringing the rich and diverse tastes of Africa and the Caribbean to your doorstep.
